Selecting the most appropriate candidate from an international pool
The client is an international company with local production and sales operations in Russia. The company is one of the leaders on the Russian market and has ambitious plans of further development, incl. developing and launching of new products and brands as well as expansion to new markets.
HILL International was assigned to find a new Marketing Director for the company. The main challenge was that this person should be searched everywhere in the world, but according to a strict requirement profile.
In order to make the search process most effective (cost-effectiveness, reasonable time frame, easy choice after presentation of best candidates) HILL had to analyze the job profile and job markets in different countries all over the world in oder to be able to offer an optimal and effective search strategy to the client. The search was concentrated in Europe with main focus on five countries, namely Austria, Germany, Czech Republik, Hungary and Poland. In these countries search was conducted with three different methods: executive search, online advertisement and database search. At the same time advertisements were placed on all HILL websites and on main international online recruitment web-resources.
After three months of search and selection, the top five candidates from four countries were presented to the client. From these candidates the client selected one, who accepted the job offer and moved to Moscow. So HILL International could satisfy the client`s needs in all points and he is very pleased with the candidate.
